In 2021 we unexpectedly misplaced a good friend, colleague, and champion for animal well-being with the passing of Dr. Dave Wilson. The Sfr-Contemporary created the Dr. Dave Wilson Memorial Award on the College of Guelph in his honour. This 12 months, the scholarship recipient is Keisha Harris.

Harris has demonstrated all of those qualities! She is a member of the Animal Welfare Membership and spent a summer time with the Canadian Meals Inspection Company’s Veterinary Scholar Internship Program of their coverage division, engaged on a mission for humane animal transport.
Entry to veterinary care is one other one in every of Harris’s passions. She served on the Toronto Humane Society within the public veterinary providers division and plans to volunteer with group drugs applications post-graduation.
